Thoughts about Crochet Symbol Charting
So I'm thinking about doing Charting for Self Publishing designers who cannot do their own or have no desire to do their own charts. What do you think? It would give me a break from designing but still have my hand in so to speak. Good or bad idea? Pros/Cons? Anybody?

Pam's Comfort Cables
Mood:  hug me

A while  back I did a short post called Crochet Cables, it was just a picture of a cable and a short description.  In that post I mentioned  'working on something else but could not talk about it right now.' Here is that afore mentioned cable, it is called the Breezy Cable Square.

This is my part in a wonderfully thought out and excuted plan to show Pam Gillette aka Ms Knotty Generation, how we feel about this talented designer and friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.   Every twist and turn was made with love and hope that we could do the Mistress of crochet cables proud.  If you are part of Ravely you probably have visited her Crochet Celtic Cables group and know of her passion for cables.

I was proud and honored to be asked to take part in this project with the best of the best in the crochet world.  Talent like: Tracie Barrett, Gwen Blakeley Kinsler, Vashti Braha, Bendy Carter, Robyn Chachula, Doris chan, Drew Emborsky, Lisa Bentry, Ellen Gromley, Mary Jane Hall, Jill Hanratty, Tammy Hildebrand (also project Coordinator), Amy O'Neill Houck, Margaret Hubert, Kimberly Kortary, Marty Miller, Annie Modesitt, Diane Moyer, Kristin Omdahl, Dee Stanzian, Mary Beth Temple, Karen Ratto Whooley.  Technical Editing done by KJHay, Kimberly Kotary, Susan Lowman, Marty Miller and Annette Petavy.  Graphics and Photos by Amie Hirtes.  The beautiful introduction by Marty Miller and Diane Moyer.

We were all sent yarn provided by Knit Picks and set out on the task of making  and writing instructions for the 8" square.  These squares were put together to form Pam's Comfort Cables.  20 pages containing 24 cabled designs for sale at the very resonable price of $4.99 with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Pam.

I present to you what crocheters do best, our love and hug to Pam Gillette.

Pams Comfort Cables!

Show your love and support for this phenonminal designer or for someone you know and love by making this Cabled hug, pop on over to Knit Picks and Pam's Comfort Cables!
